Marriage—Just
a Piece of Paper?
A national PBS documentary on what happens when marriage disappears aired
on February 14, 2002 on your local PBS station. This award-winning documentary
was written by marriage and family specialist Barbara Dafoe Whitehead
and narrated by Cokie Roberts. It was produced by Brian Boyer Productions,
Ltd. and the RCF Project and was funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. The
script was based on interviews and research done by the RCF Project, especially
the books From Culture Wars to Common Ground and John Witte's
From Sacrament to Contract.
