Kristin C. Bloomer, M.A. Cambridge University,
M.F.A. University of Montana, M.A. University of Chicago, is a Ph.D.
candidate in Theology and the History of Religions at the University
of Chicago Divinity School. An award-winning scholar, journalist
and writer, her stories and articles have appeared in various publications,
including the Boston Globe, the Missoula Independent,
the Rutland Herald, Vermont Sunday Magazine, the
San Francisco Chronicle, In These Times Magazine,
Quarterly West, the Cambridge and Oxford Short Story
Anthology, All This Was Meant to Burn (a chapbook
published by the University of Montana), and "The New Our Bodies
Ourselves" (forthcoming in May). She currently lives in Tamil
Nadu, South India, where she is researching popular religion on
a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Scholarship.
