Launching our Web Forum this December 2002 is a commentary by Bruce Lincoln, a historian of religions at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Excerpted from the recently published Holy Terrors: Thinking about Religion after September 11 (Chicago, 2002), the commentary is titled "Mr. Atta's Meditations, Sept. 10, 2001: A Close Reading of the Text." It will run through the month of December, and after that will continue to be accessible through the Web Forum archive.
