The Religion & Culture Web Forum
About the Web Forum |
|
| The Martin Marty Center's Religion and Culture Web Forum is an online forum for thought-provoking discussion on the relationship of scholarship in religion to culture and public life. Each month the Marty Center, the research arm of the University of Chicago Divinity School, invites a scholar of religion to comment on his or her own research in a way that "opens out" to themes, problems, and events in world cultures and contemporary life. Scholars from diverse fields of study are invited to offer responses to these commentaries on the forum's discussion board, where the public is also encouraged to post thoughts and reactions to commentaries and invited responses. Please contact the Web Forum Editor with any comments or questions. About the Public Discussion BoardThe public discussion board is intended to allow you, the public, to get involved in each Web Forum discussion. Feel free to respond to the featured essay on the main RCWF site or the invited responses posted on the discussion board, as well as to each other. Postings are organized under monthly headings, with all responses for that month’s essay grouped together. In this way, all commentary will remain available for interested readers even after a new forum has been put up on the main web site. The University of Chicago Divinity School reserves the right to delete postings that it considers to be slanderous, libelous, or otherwise offensive. To access the discussion board, click on the link at right. In order to post a reply, you will need to register with a personal user ID and password. |
